    PWGSC is hosting an information session on the new Defense Procurement Information Session on April 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ottawa Convention Centre.  Learn about the new strategy and understand how your company may benefit from this major change in procurement practices.  You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

    Invitation to participate in an information session on the new Defence Procurement Strategy (DPS) with senior government officials

    The Office of Small and Medium Enterprises and Strategic Engagement (OSME-SE) is pleased to invite you to attend an information session to discuss the new Defence Procurement Strategy (DPS) with Tom Ring, Assistant Deputy Minister of Acquisitions Branch – Public Works and Government Services Canada, and Rear Admiral Patrick Finn of the Department of National Defence, as well as a senior official from Industry Canada.

    The DPS was developed to better ensure that defence equipment purchases create economic opportunities for Canadian businesses, and help improve defence procurement outcomes.

    The purpose of the information session is to inform you about the Strategy, answer your questions and receive your feedback.

    Date: Friday, April 11, 2014
    Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
    Location: Ottawa Convention Centre (Ottawa Salon, Room 214), 55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa

    Please arrive at 9:30 a.m. for the meet and greet. The information session will start at 10:00 a.m. and run approximately two hours.

    We ask that you confirm your attendance early as space is limited.
