Notice of Proposed Procurement: Shared Services Canada’s Software Licensing Vehicle

Shared Services Canada (SSC) has issued a Software Licensing Vehicle (SLV) solicitation for the procurement of software and its associated maintenance and support that fall under SSC’s mandate. The SLV will effectively be the SSC version of the Software Licensing Supply Arrangement (SLSA) used by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).

The SLSA will continue to be a mechanism of choice to meet PSPC’s ongoing needs. However, in order to support its service offerings, SSC requires its own vehicle, the SLV.

For a list of proposed categories to be offered by the SLV and a list of the expected similarities and differences between the SSC’s SLV Phase 1 and PSPC’s current SLSA, refer to SSC’s notice for the new Software Procurement Instrument (SPI00002).
(Note that documents released prior to February 24, 2017 refer to SLV as SPI.)

It is anticipated that the procurement for the SLV will be rolled out as follows:

    1. Industry Engagement (using webinar or WebEx) – Spring 2017
    2. Request for Information (RFI) – Summer 2017
    3. Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA) – Fall 2017

The procurement process may be subject to change as a result of industry feedback and collaboration in any of these three phases.

For more information, refer to Shared Services Canada’s Software Licensing Vehicle (SLV00001).
