    [ARCHIVED] PWGSC to Offer Company Security Officer (CSO) Training Sessions in Calgary, Montreal, Richmond, Victoria, Halifax and Ottawa in Spring and Summer 2015

    Are you a Company Security Officer for an organization holding a federal security clearance? If yes, and you are interested in developing a better understanding of the Industrial Security Program and your responsibilities in this program, you should attend a Company Security Officer (CSO) Training Session.

    PWGSC has provided the following description of the training session:

    “We have designed this one-day training session to offer you an introduction to the principles of industrial security and security in contracting. We will provide an overview of the Industrial Security Program and its services. Throughout the modules, we will focus on the roles and responsibilities of government and industry in contracts containing security requirements. “

    The training modules cover:

    • Organization clearances
    • Contract security
    • Personnel screening
    • Handling and safeguarding of protected and classified information

    The following training sessions will be held in 2015:

    • English session – May 20, 2015, Calgary, Alberta – Ramada Plaza Calgary Airport
    • French session – June 4, 2015, Montreal, Quebec – Gouverneur Hotel-Place Dupuis
    • English session – June 16, 2015, Richmond, BC – Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel
    • English session – June 18, 2015, Victoria, BC – Comfort Inn & Conference Centre
    • English session – September 11, 2015, Halifax, Nova Scotia – Delta Halifax

    Sessions in English and French will be held in October 2015 in Ottawa, places and dates to be determined.

    There is no cost to participate.
