[ARCHIVED] TBIPS – A mandatory supply arrangement and standing offer for providing IT Services to the Government of Canada – Do you qualify?

[ARCHIVED August 2, 2016 – This page will no longer be updated. Please see https://blog.theproposalcentre.ca//list-of-primers/ for current information on key Government of Canada and Government of Ontario contract vehicles]

The Government of Canada has issued its refresh request to allow new suppliers onto its pre-qualified list of IT Services providers who are on the Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) Standing Offer and Supply Arrangement.

While time is quickly running out, it isn’t too late yet to prepare and submit a proposal. But you must act now as submission are due March 4, 2013.

TBIPS is your license to get your piece of the government pie and sell IT Professional Services in a range of specialties to Government of Canada departments and agencies. Contracts can start at $78,500 and for some firms, can go to $2 Million and up.

Wondering what it takes to get on? For starters, here are some of the key thresholds for revenues related to Informatics Professional Services in the past 3 years (total cumulative over 3 years):

    • Standing Offer: $1 Million
    • Supply Arrangement – Tier 1 $1.5 Million
    • Supply Arrangement – Tier 2 $12 Million

If you meet these thresholds, and you have been in business for at least 3 years, chances are good that you qualify for one or more streams within TBIPS. The streams, along with the categories of personnel in each stream are included in a previous post at http://theproposalcentre.wordpress.com/2012/11/19/changes-made-to-tbips-for-the-upcoming-refresh/.

While the process to get onto a Standing Offer or Supply Arrangement can be time-consuming and hard to understand, the rewards can be great. By paying careful attention to detail and following the solicitation documents closely, you can submit a successful proposal to get on TBIPS.

And if you need help, we’re here. Our structured approach takes care of all the details, and removes much of the mystery and angst of securing government standing offers and supply arrangements. In particular, you can save time and effort with our special TBIPS packages, designed uniquely for the TBIPS Request for Standing Offer and Supply Arrangement.

    1. Interested to hear how you can help TBIPS tier 1

    2. Hi Andrew,

TBIPS is expected to be out for renewal sometime in the new year. We can help you assess your qualifications against the evaluation criteria and, if all looks good, we will prepare your response by following our structured approach for successfully responding to the TBIPS Request for Standing Offer/Supply Arrangement. We can also help respond to call-ups and Requests for Proposals once a company is on TBIPS and receives invitations to bid.
