An amendment published today by Public Works and Government Services Canada has extended the period for new vendors to apply to become ProServices Supply Arrangement (SA) holders and for existing vendors to add new categories to their SA. It has also indicated that the “annual” renewal will not take place until May 2017.

The Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario have recently updated their schedule for renewals and open opportunities to qualify on supply arrangements (SA), standing offers (SO), and vendor of record arrangements (VOR). Key renewals include:
- PWGSC Task-Based Informatics Professionals Services (TBIPS) SO and SA
- PWGSC Task and Solutions Professional Services (TSPS) Task-Based SO and SA
- PWGSC TSPS Solutions-Based SA
- PWGSC Professional Audit and Support Services (PASS) SA
All existing TBIPS, TSPS, and PASS vendors will be required to renew their SOs/SAs in order to continue providing services under TBIPS, TSPS, and PASS.

Following the renewal of the Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) Request for Standing Offers and Supply Arrangements, the Government of Canada has published the median rates established for TBIPS Standing Offers by Region and Metropolitan Area, Category of Personnel, and Level of Expertise. The Industrial Security Sector (ISS) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) requires all individuals operating as independent contractors to register in the Industrial Security program and obtain an organizational security clearance in addition to their personal security clearance. Independent contractors are defined as “any individual business entity, including: independent contractors, independent and freelance consultants, and independent suppliers and business owners”.
