    Following the renewal of the Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) Request for Standing Offers and Supply Arrangements, the Government of Canada has published the median rates established for TBIPS Standing Offers by Region and Metropolitan Area, Category of Personnel, and Level of Expertise.     Following the renewal of the Task-Based Request for Standing Offers and Supply Arrangements, the Government of Canada has published the median rates established for TSPS Standing Offers by Region and Metropolitan Area, Category of Personnel, and Level of Expertise. The rates can be viewed online, or downloaded in Microsoft Excel or PDF format from TSPS SO Median Rates notice.

    Do you supply services to the Government of Canada through a Temporary Help Services (THS) Standing Offer or Supply Arrangement? You may be interested in serving as a member on the Temporary Help Services Advisory Committee (THSAC).

    THSAC was created by Public Works and Government Services Canada Acquisitions Branch (PWGSC AB) in 2006. The Committee provides a consultative forum focused on continually improving the methods of supply for the provision of THS to federal government departments in the National Capital Region (NCR).     PRIMER: National Procurement Strategy for Communications Services (a guest blog by Marion Soublière)

    In March, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) released the final version of its new “National Procurement Strategy for Communications Services” after almost a year and a half in the works, a period that included consultations with industry and government departments.

    The new strategy applies to federal departments and agencies that use PWGSC to buy their communications services through requests for standing offers or supply arrangements for repeat purchases, or through one-time requests for proposals.

    The Government has finally released the much overdue refresh for the Task and Solutions Professional Services (TSPS) Task-Based Supply Arrangement. This supply arrangement is used to procure professional services valued at $78,500 and above in the following streams:

    1. Human Resources Services Stream
    2. Business Consulting / Change Management Stream
    3. Project Management Services Stream
    4. Real Property Project Management Services Stream
    5. Technical, Engineering And Maintenance Services Stream

    The Government of Canada has issued its refresh request to allow new suppliers onto its pre-qualified list of IT Services providers who are on the Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) Standing Offer and Supply Arrangement.

    While time is quickly running out, it isn’t too late yet to prepare and submit a proposal. But you must act now as submission are due March 4, 2013.
